Talk of a >Château Miraval
>Château Miravalsale has been re-ignited.
A report by >Us Weekly cited multiple but unnamed sources as telling the publication that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will putt Miraval on the market in the near future.
Château Miraval’s future was placed in doubt when Pitt and Jolie confirmed last month that they would file for divorce.
But, a source close to the estate told
Decanter.com today (24 October) that talk of a sale remained just ‘rumours’.
Pitt and Jolie bought 700-hectare Miraval in the north of Provence in 2008. They started working with the Perrin family of Château Beaucastel and released a 2012 vintage Provence rosé wine in spring of 2013.
Marc Perrin, who makes the Miraval rosé wine alongside the Jolie-Pitts, told Decanter.com last month that it was business as usual at the château. ‘The 2016 vintage will be released as planned,’ he said.
