ANGELINA Jolie and her son enjoyed a private tour of Buckingham Palace last night — but did not meet the Queen.
The Hollywood beauty and her eldest child Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, 15, were swept through the palace gates in a black people carrier.
It came at the end of a busy day in London for the Lara Croft: Tomb raider star, as hours earlier she gave her first lecture as a visiting professor at the London School of Economics.
In the evening Ange, 41, walked out of her hotel dressed head-to-toe in black and smiled at her adopted son trailing behind.
Moments later their car was spotted driving through the wrought-iron palace gates a short distance away.

They received a highly unusual private tour of the Queen’s official residence, according to reports.
No members of the royal family were present for the visit.
Normally the palace is open for tours only for a few weeks in July and August.
Earlier yesterday Angelina — who is divorcing her husband Brad Pitt — admitted she had “butterflies” before taking a lesson with postgraduate students at the LSE’s Centre for Women, Peace and Security.
She told them about her experience in the field as a UN special envoy and how sexual violence is used as a tool of war.
Before the lecture she told the Evening Standard: “I’m a little nervous, feeling butterflies.
“I hope I do well. This is very important to me.”
Afterwards student Tazeen Dhanani said on Twitter she did “wonderfully” while Alana Foster said the lecture was “incredible”.
The actress also took time to go book shopping and swept up to 30 titles from the shelves at Waterstones in Piccadilly, helped by eight-year-old daughter Vivienne.
Also while in London, Angelina launched a campaign against rape in war alongside William Hague in a discussion panel organised by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
As Lord Hague said many are at risk of sexual assaults in war zones, Angelina said there was “much more to do”.
Five years on from the launch of the Preventing Sexual Violence Initiative, the Hollywood star called for more prosecutions, increased evidence gathering and better training for armies.
She said: “All of us involved in PSVI are proud of the work so far.
“But with much more to do we are very focused on the next steps: taking the tools that have been developed into the field to help document crimes and support prosecutions, working with militaries to change doctrine and training, and pushing for the implementation of laws to protect the very vulnerable victims”.
Angelina, special envoy of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, launched the campaign against rape in war with Lord Hague, then Foreign Secretary, in 2012.
But speaking to Good Morning America, the star insisted that they will "always be a family" when it comes to their six children.
She told host George Stephanopoulous: "We will be stronger when we come out of this, because that's what we're determined to do."
Angelina was in Cambodia with her children - 15-year-old Maddox, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, ten, and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight.
